Revolutionary: Soriana Sofa by Cassina
Elegant and at the same time casual, expansively comfortable and simply revolutionary - this perfectly describes the Soriana Sofa by designer couple Afra & Tobia Scarpa.
The exciting design, which was to turn the history of upholstered furniture on its head, was created as early as 1969. Thanks to new process techniques for shaping the upholstery and the specially developed metal frame, which encloses the upholstery like a clamp, Soriana can do completely without internal support. The design was so convincing that it was awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 1970 as a masterpiece of complexity.
Today's new edition not only inspires on the outside, but has also worked hard on the inside. In the spirit of sustainability, Cassina has developed a special organic plastic of plant origin together with Tobia Scarpa, which is used in Soriana. In addition, part of the upholstery is made of 100% recycled PET. Brava, Soriana!

Material and format
The Soriana sofa is based on a substructure made of recyclable wood. The internal upholstery consists of BioFoam® Microspheres, while the upholstery above is made of 100% recycled PET from the Plastic Bank®. A clamp made of steel with powder coating provides the distinctive shape of the sofa.
Soriana can be ordered as a 2-seater (B175 x D105 x H 71 x SH 42 cm) or - for extra seating and reclining space - also as a 3-seater with a width of 250 cm. You can also configure your dream sofa in numerous fabric and leather versions.
