Ethnicraft - for the love of wood, nature and craftsmanship
Wood has always been one of the most durable materials in furniture design. With this conviction, the Belgian manufacturer Ethnicraft creates enchanting collections made of high-quality solid wood beyond the usual norms, but with an absolutely timeless character. Originally, company founder Philippe Delaisse imported handcrafted furnishings from Indonesia. In 1995, the desire to build furniture himself arose because of the great enthusiasm this aroused in Europe - the birth of the brand. Responsible use of natural resources and high ecological standards have been firm principles in Ethnicraft's philosophy since the company was founded.
Material and format
The Jack Outdoor Lounge Chair by Ethnicraft is made of solid, polished teak. The natural oils in the wood ensure first-class weather resistance and protect the armchair from heat and cold. Teak can turn slightly greyish outside over time, which corresponds to the natural texture of the wood and is not a qualitative defect. Special glides are attached to the feet to prevent water absorption from the floor.
The seat cushions consist of a quick-drying foam and covers made of 100% recyclable polypropylene. This synthetic material is naturally UV-resistant and water-repellent (not completely waterproof, but does not absorb water and is quick-drying). The covers are machine wash able and have a special anti-slip fabric on their underside for perfect grip.
