About the designers
Le Corbusier was a French architect, urban planner and furniture designer who is one of the most influential representatives of 20th century modern architecture. He revolutionised the world of architecture with his new approach to functionalist construction and his vision of "living machines".
Together with his cousin Pierre Jeanneret, Le Corbusier founded the famous architecture firm in the 1920s. Together they created numerous iconic buildings, including the Maison La Roche-Jeanneret in Paris and the Villa Savoye in Poissy. Le Corbusier was known for his striking design and strict, geometric forms, while Jeanneret focused more on the functional aspects and was responsible for the organisation of the building projects.
Material and shape
The frame of the sofa can be ordered in different versions of teak or oak. The seat and backrest are made of PU foam with a metal insert with elasticated straps, covered with wadding made from recycled PET. The sofa is 145 cm wide, 74 cm high and 76 cm deep and can be upholstered in leather or fabric in various colours. The seat height is 37 cm.
