Extraordinary charm: W50 Traccia side table by Cassina
In 1971, the term"functional artwork" introduced a new type of furnishing. Dino Gavina thus brought forth an idea that integrated surrealistic objects into everyday use. The Ultramobile collection was born from this vision. It combines rational thinking with creative imagination and thus creates an interaction between geometry and fantasy.
A special highlight of this collection is the side table, which was designed by the Swiss artist Meret Oppenheim in 1939 for the avant-garde gallery of Leo Castelli. With its slender legs and claw feet made of cast, shiny bronze, the table is a homage to the classic claw legs that adorned many furnishings from past centuries. In the 1970s, the Simon International company produced a reduced version in a limited edition, which has now been reissued by Cassina with full respect for the authentic model. The aptly named"Bird Leg Table" is a timeless work of art and a beautiful addition to any interior.

Material and format
The table top is made of multi-layer elements, the upper part is made of pure gold leaf or white gold leaf, the lower part is lacquered in the colour yellow gold or white gold. The frame is made of polished or silver-plated cast bronze. The side table measures 68 cm in width, 53 cm in depth and 65 cm in height.
