The Delfi dining table is a redesign of a table designed by Marcel Breuer in the 1930s for Dino Gavina's residence in Bologna. With his philosophical and constructive approach, Carlo Scarpa designed the sculptural new edition of the rationalist masterpiece. A breathtaking design, the highest quality workmanship and a clever choice of materials - the Delfi table with its rectangular glass top and marble legs amazes its viewer.
Ahead of his time - designer Marcel Breuer
Today, we are very familiar with the unagitated lines. Initially, the inventor Marcel Breuer found it difficult to prevail against the cluttered furnishing style around 1920 with his reduced furniture made of tubular steel. Breuer's designs are now regarded as milestones in the history of furniture design.
Cassina - a traditional Italian company
Founded in 1927 by two brothers, Cassina was already doing pioneering work shortly afterwards: the close cooperation of architects and designers from different fields led to revolutionary innovations in terms of materials and design language.
