Lightweight: ID Chair ID Mesh office swivel chair from Vitra

The ID Mesh is pure transparency and lightness - its slim frame and innovative spacer fabric make it an absolute lightweight. The fabric is translucent and open like a net, but at the same time as soft as a thin cushion. This allows sufficient air circulation to provide pleasant seating comfort even in warm temperatures.

Antonio Citterio - Designer

Antonio Citterio opened his own design studio at the age of 22 and worked together with Terry Dawn on buildings in Europe and Japan from 1987 to 1996. Together with Patricia Viel, he founded an interdisciplinary studio for architecture, interior design and graphic design in 2000. In addition to Vitra, he works with many other well-known companies in the design furniture industry, e.g. B&B Italian Flos, Kartell and Technogym.

Material and format

The frame of the backrest is made of polyamide. The height of the lumbar support can be adjusted. The backrest cover is a 3D Diamond Mesh spacer fabric. The seat cushion is made of polyurethane foam with seat cover in fabric or 3D spacer fabric. The five-star base is made of polyamide or die-cast aluminium. The gas spring is black.

The armrests are available in different versions that can be adjusted in height, width and depth.

The chair has a Flow-Motion mechanism and can be locked in an upright sitting position. The backrest counterforce and forward tilt can be individually adjusted.
