Freeform: Freeform Ottoman Vitra
The sculptural language of the famous designer Isamu Noguchi is expressed in the Freeform series by Vitra. It is reminiscent of an oversized river pebble, yet appears light and elegant and offers space for your favourite guests. The cover of the sofa designed in 1946 by Isamu Noguchi is removable and available in different colours.
The designer: Isamu Noguchi
Isamu Noguchi was born in Los Angeles in 1904 as the son of a Japanese poet and an American writer. He studied at Columbia University and at the Leonardo da Vinci Art School. Isamu Noguchi was a versatile artist and designer whose life and work in the most diverse cultural circles were reflected in his artistic creations. He is regarded as a universal talent and designed sculptures, furniture, lamps and even stage sets. His sculptural style is particularly evident in pieces such as the Noguchi Coffee Table by Vitra.
Material and format
The ottoman consists of a beech wood frame and polyurethane foam upholstery. The feet are made of light or dark maple wood. The covers are removable and available in different fabrics.
