The Diana lamp is a combination of functional and compositional sobriety. A central metallic shaft of variable diameter supports a wide circular shade of white linen. The Diana Menor is an alternative for smaller spaces.
The Diana was created for the office of the then Mayor of Barcelona, Pasqual Maragall, who presided over the Olympic Games. He is internationally known for his support for architecture and design. Federico Correa and Alfonso Milá were responsible for the renovation of the Mayor's office along with Miguel Milá, with whom they had worked in the past.
In the words of its creators, "the Diana lamp seeks to be as timeless as possible".
While providing a particular effective form of lighting, it also gives the office a sense of comfort, creating a feeling that one is not actually working. The Diana lamp combines a classic air with the latest technology and a modern treatment and finish.
The Diana Menor table lamp embodies the evolution of its species, a new generation in the Diana family that can adapt to the circumstances of the environment.
