A modern classic: designed by Harri Koskinen in 1997, the Block Lamp table lamp from Design House Stockholm has been part of the permanent exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art since 2000.
The special feature of the lamp is Harri Koskinen's unusual idea of enclosing a light source in a glass block reminiscent of an ice cube. This makes the Block Lamp an unmistakable luminaire that sets very special accents.
Each part of the Block Lamp is moulded by hand and subjected to an extremely long cooling process.
