Charles and Ray Eames developed the Aluminium Chairs in 1958 for the private home of an art collector in Columbus. The couple Eames is one of the most important personalities in the field of design in the 20th century. In addition to designing furniture, they have also made films, photographed and put together exhibitions. Vitra is the only legitimate manufacturer of Eames products for Europe and the Middle East.

The Aluminium Chair is a chair with a medium-high upholstered backrest, available with Hopsak, Leather or Premium Leather covers. The side profiles, clamping brackets and the 4-star base are made of die-cast aluminium and are polished, chrome-plated or powder-coated in deep black.
