Tristan Lohner - master of purist design

The oak wood study chair was designed by Tristan Lohner, a French designer who was born in 1969 and initially learned the carpentry trade. His teacher was Bernard Daude, who worked for the renowned Museum Mobilier National. He then went on to study at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, where Lohner deepened his love of clean lines and functional aesthetics. As a long-standing partner of Fermob, Tristan Lohner has created the Studie collection, a piece of furniture that takes up the iconic, clearly designed lines of classic classroom and bistro chairs and gives them a contemporary touch. His designs are characterized by a minimalist design language that evokes nostalgia without appearing antiquated. In addition to the Studie collection, Lohner has also designed the popular Balad rechargeable lamp for Fermob - another example of his talent for combining functionality with emotional design.
