Natalia Rota Nodari & Alberto Basaglia - Italian design mastery with productive pragmatism

The Pilotis armchair was designed by Italian designer duo Natalia Rota Nodari and Alberto Basaglia, who founded their joint office in Brembate di Sopra near Bergamo in 1997. The two architects and designers won their first product design prize at the Young & Design competition back in 1999. Rota Nodari & Basaglia are known for translating the needs of a company into timeless, aesthetically pleasing and cost-effective products. Firm believers that design requires a productive dialog with the client, they have been developing interior design, furniture and hospitality projects for over two decades. Their designs are characterized by clear lines and a strong personality - products that are both functional for the user and economically viable for the manufacturer.
