The epitome of comfort: Grand Sofà 2.5-seater from Vitra
Luxurious comfort paired with contemporary design - the Grand Sofà is designer Antonio Citterio's interpretation of Italian flair in lightness and elegance. A geometrically clear form and generous elements create expansive seating and reclining platforms. Nevertheless, the overall package appears delicate and light, as the slim, fabric-covered body rests on a thin metal frame.
A high-quality, soft filling ensures exceptionally good seating comfort. The sofa can be highly customised by choosing different accessory cushions to perfectly suit your requirements. The small ledge on the sofa can be used as a shelf for books, magazines or accessories, as the sofa tray, a leather-covered tray, can be used to create a stable storage surface.
Various fabrics and a wide range of colours round off the individual range perfectly.
Antonio Citterio - Designer
Antonio Citterio opened his own design studio at the age of 22 and worked together with Terry Dawn on buildings in Europe and Japan from 1987 to 1996. Together with Patricia Viel, he founded an interdisciplinary studio for architecture, interior design and graphic design in 2000. In addition to Vitra, he works with many other well-known companies in the design furniture industry, e.g. B&B Italian Flos, Kartell and Technogym.
Material and format
The Grand Sofà consists of a metal frame and seat cushions made of polyurethane foam core and chamber cushions (filled with polyurethane foam rhombus, latex and goose feather/down mix). The 2.5-seater sofa is 180 cm wide, 110 cm deep and 90 cm high. The seat height is 40 cm.
Note: The designations "left" and "right" refer to the view of the sofa from the front. The back cushions are not included with the sofa and must be ordered separately.
