Jean Prouvé – French design
Throughout his life, Jean Prouvé considered himself a constructor , as he was both the designer and producer of his creations. From letter openers to lamps and furniture, all the way to prefabricated houses – the French designer's oeuvre is exceptionally extensive , encompassing virtually everything that can be constructed and industrially manufactured .
Material and format
The chair's seat and backrest consist of a polyurethane filling with a fabric or leather cover. The armrests are made of solid wood , available in natural oak, smoked oak, or American walnut. The oak is sourced from Western Europe and Poland, while the walnut comes from the USA. The Twill fabric consists of 70% virgin wool and 30% polyamide.
The Fauteuil Direction armchair is 65 cm wide, 62.5 cm deep, and 81.5 cm high. The seat height is 50.5 cm.
