Design classic: Arco floor lamp by Flos
An absolutely imposing design of contemporary design is the Arco floor lamp by Flos. It was designed by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1962 and enchants with its size and impressive appearance.
The contrast between satin steel, lacquered aluminium and the solid marble base makes the special character of the design lamp. Its long shaft is extendable and can be adjusted precisely - therefore, Arco is particularly suitable as a reading lamp.
It is considered an icon of industrial design and was a groundbreaking innovation at the time of its creation, because it is both a floor and ceiling lamp. The curved shape of the lamp arm makes it possible.
