This bookcase is the flagship of Franco Albini's visionary work. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, it was possible to create a new edition of the original piece from 1940, which Albini made as a one-off for his Milan house. The experimental bookcase, which looks like a "furnished window", can be used both as a shelf and as a room divider. Linear, airy, interwoven - a very special atmosphere emanates from the iconic bookcase that seems to reinvent the concept of balance. Cassina - a traditional Italian company 

Founded in 1927 by two brothers, Cassina was already doing pioneering work shortly afterwards: through the close cooperation of architects and designers from different fields, revolutionary innovations were achieved in terms of materials and design language.

Material and format 

The Veliero shelf consists of two columns in natural ash with brass tips and a metal rod frame. The shelves are made of extra-light, tempered and layered glass with a polished edge. The outer struts and the supports of the glass shelves are made of stainless steel. 

The bookcase is 205 cm wide, 55 cm deep and 266 cm high
