The lampshade, an archetype does not sit at the end of the rod as you would expect, but in the middle of it. These absolutely simple elements become a noble and fancy eye-catcher through the skilful displacement and de-placement. The shade is made of light plastic and is enclosed by two diffusers, thus creating a pleasant direct and indirect light.
Design duo Quaglio Simonelli
Andrea Quaglio and Manuela Simonelli form the design duo Quaglio Simonelli. They are both graduates of the Università del Progetto in Reggio Emilia. Their joint studio is located in Paris. After a two-year collaboration with the well-known designer Philippe Starck, they founded their own design studio. There they design technical products, lighting, furniture and furnishings. They have been awarded various prizes for their work, including the Red Dot Product Design Award, the IF Product Design Award and the Étoile de l'Observeur.
