Carpet design at its best: manufacturer GAN from Spain

The traditional Spanish company GAN, founded in 1941, actually specialised exclusively in carpets. But in the mid-1980s, competition in this sector grew. GAN realised that a rethink was necessary and opted for a new design. Modern and contemporary and created by professional designers. The surprise effect was guaranteed internationally in this traditional craft, even though it still took some time before customers dared to try this completely new carpet styling. But in the mid-1990s, the new direction became a success story that continues to this day. GAN was also quick to respond to the rapidly growing outdoor sector and expanded its product range. Preserving traditional craftsmanship is particularly important to the company: all products are handmade in India, always hand in hand with experts in craftsmanship and design.
