Flowerpot VP8 Wall lamp AndTradition
Your advantages with einrichten design
personal, individual, passionately
Homage to the 60s: Flowerpot VP8 wall lamp by &tradition
The Flowerpot lamp by &tradition was developed in the 60s at the same time as the Flower Power movement and has since achieved cult status. In its design, it reflects the time in which conventions were circumvented and an open and modern mentality was established.
The celebrated designer Verner Panton made numerous sketches of Flowerpot, but the wall lamp version never made it into production. It was not until many years later that &tradition, in close cooperation with the Panton family, decided to also produce this beautifully shaped lamp.
Designer Verner Panton
As an inspiring and colourful personality, Verner Panton has a unique sense for colours, shapes, light function and space. Throughout his career, the designer produced modern luminaires with personality unlike any other Scandinavian designer. His remarkable confidence in the unlimited possibilities of shapes led him to develop a number of new theories about how lighting works and how it can influence its surroundings.
