Visionary designer and Nordic heritage
The original Snowball design was created by Trond Svendgård, a remarkable gourmet chef and design enthusiast whose creative vision laid the foundation for a success story two decades ago. Northern was founded in 2005 in the Norwegian capital Oslo and has since established itself as a leading specialist in Scandinavian lighting design, combining traditional craftsmanship with innovative design approaches. The company stands for the authentic interpretation of Nordic design philosophy and is inspired by the raw beauty of Scandinavian nature.
Technical details
The portable Snowball table lamp impresses with its compact format of 33 cm in height and a base of approx. 9 x 9 cm, allowing it to be effortlessly integrated into a wide variety of room concepts. The high-quality light object combines elegant metal with the characteristic opal glass diffuser (approx. 7 cm in diameter), which distributes the LED light evenly and without glare. The integrated LED technology (3 watts) produces a warm, cosy light with a colour temperature of 2700 Kelvin and a luminous flux of 200 lumens, ensuring cordless lighting enjoyment for several hours. The luminaire is available in various elegant colour nuances that blend harmoniously into modern living concepts.
