GamFratesi - The poetry of contrasts
The Layout Armchair was created by the Danish-Italian design duo GamFratesi, founded in 2006 by Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi. Their design approach is a fascinating dialogue between two cultures: they combine the Scandinavian tradition of craftsmanship and simple functionality with a conceptual and poetic Italian approach. This dualism is reflected in their work, which is often characterised by contrasts and combines traditional techniques with new, surprising forms. Their designs, which they create for leading international brands such as HAY, Gubi and Louis Poulsen, have been honoured with numerous prestigious awards.
