The Layout Chair 161 from HAY is the definition of functional flexibility and modern, sustainable design. Equipped with an elegant arc swivel base and practical castors, this chair offers effortless mobility for dynamic environments such as offices, educational institutions or the home study. The shell and seat are made entirely of robust, recycled plastic, making the chair particularly durable and easy to clean. Its characteristic backrest opening lends it a visual lightness and perfectly rounds off the sophisticated design by Julien Renault.

Julien Renault - The beauty of the everyday
The Layout Chair was created by French designer Julien Renault, who runs his studio in Brussels. Renault draws his inspiration from everyday life and has a gift for transforming the ordinary into something beautiful and special. His design approach combines rational methods with artistic freedom, always taking into account the deep connection between an object and its surroundings. In addition to the Layout collection, Julien Renault has also designed the popular Pastis table and chair series and the Compass lamp collection for HAY.
