The Layout Side Chair 151 lends the flexible and sustainable series a particularly elegant character. Resting on a filigree 4-star swivel base, it is perfect for use in sophisticated conference and meeting rooms, lounges or as a stylish chair at the dining table at home. Its compact, armless shape and Julien Renault's clear design language create a light, inviting look, while the sustainable design guarantees a long service life.

Julien Renault - master of the simple form
Behind the Layout Chair is Belgian designer Julien Renault, who lives and works in Brussels. After studying at the ESAD in Reims and the ECAL in Lausanne, he founded his own studio in 2013. Renault is known for his ability to reduce objects to their most basic form without losing expression or functionality. His collaboration with HAY is characterised by a clear, almost architectural approach to furniture design that focuses on the longevity and adaptability of the product.
