Julien Renault - The beauty of the everyday

The Layout Chair was created by French designer Julien Renault, who runs his studio in Brussels. Renault draws his inspiration from everyday life and has a gift for transforming the ordinary into something beautiful and special. His design approach combines rational methods with artistic freedom, always taking into account the deep connection between an object and its surroundings. In addition to the Layout collection, Julien Renault has also designed the popular Pastis table and chair series and the Compass lamp collection for HAY, which emphasise his ability to create designs that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
