The Layout Side Chair 133 from HAY was created for working environments where comfort and flexibility go hand in hand. Julien Renault's design combines a soft upholstered seat with the elegant 4-star swivel base made of aluminium. Julien Renault - The poetry of the everyday
The Layout Chair was created by French designer Julien Renault, who runs his studio in Brussels. Renault's approach to design is characterised by finding inspiration in the everyday and transforming ordinary things into objects of special beauty. His work, which combines rational methods with artistic freedom, explores the deep relationship between objects and their surroundings. He has already designed the successful Pastis collection and the Compass lamps for HAY, which emphasises his ability to create functional yet expressive designs.
