You don't need to reinvent something really good - designer Egon Eiermann was convinced of this. And the same applies to the S 197 R20 swivel chair, which has become a true classic at Wilde+Spieth.
Egon Eiermann always wanted to create seating that fulfils the human need for comfort. He therefore also designed the S 197 R20 office chair with a seat and backrest that completely fulfils ergonomic requirements.
The S 197 R20 swivel chair, designed in 1949, was followed by many other designs of this type by other designers - but only the S 197 R20 was able to hold its own on the market for years.
Comfort, reduced to the essentials - that is the secret of Egon Eiermann's success and consequently also of the S 197 R20 swivel chair.
The office chair S 197 R20 is particularly popular among artists and free thinkers. This is partly due to the ergonomic seating comfort and partly due to its wooden finish, which makes the swivel chair particularly cosy and also suitable for the home office.
The chair is supplied with soft castors.
