Good shape: PH 3/3 Louis Poulsen pendant light
As early as 1925/26, the well-known designer Poul Henningsen created a three-part lampshade that was to become famous. in 1958, the pioneer of lighting design then designed the associated lamp collection - the PH series, which was absolutely revolutionary at the time, comprising the PH Artichoke, PH 5 and PH Snowball. As with all his designs, Poul Henningsen was primarily concerned with creating luminaires with glare-free light so that they cast soft shadows and the light cone is perfectly aligned.
He has more than succeeded in this with the PH series, which today comprises a large number of models. The iconic lampshades not only provide pleasant lighting, but also have the recognition value of a true classic.
Louis Poulsen - lighting design from Denmark
The Danish lighting manufacturer was founded back in 1874 and has been producing products dedicated to the duality of design and light ever since. The luminaires are designed for a wide variety of purposes and are therefore particularly functional. Louis Poulsen produces both indoor and outdoor luminaires in close collaboration with well-known designers such as Poul Henningsen, Arne Jacobsen, Verner Panton, Øivind Slaatto, Alfred Homann, Oki Sato and GamFratesi. The manufacturer has thus established itself as one of the most important global suppliers of lighting elements.
