Julien Renault - The beauty of the everyday
The Layout Chair was created by French designer Julien Renault, who is known for his ability to find inspiration in the most unexpected places and elevate the ordinary. After studying in Reims and at the prestigious ECAL in Switzerland, he set up his studio in Brussels. Renault's design approach combines rational, objective methods with personal and artistic freedom. He is convinced that all objects have a subconscious effect on our daily lives, a philosophy that is reflected in the clear yet poetic formal language of his designs for international brands such as HAY, Pastoe and Mattiazzi.
