Minimum space requirement, maximum lighting - the Black Flag Pro is the successful result of the collaboration between Flos and designer Konstantin Grcic.

The lighting object, consisting of a vertical and three horizontal, extendable rods, has the aesthetics of a geometric-minimalist art object and at the same time has a lot to offer in terms of technology .

Iconic lighting art: lamp manufacturer Flos from Italy

The designer lighting company Flos is a globally recognised brand . It has inspired the most creative minds and legends of the design world to create something unique. Flos has made a name for itself with its basic idea of creating objects, centred around a light bulb. Its luminaires move between art and high-quality craftsmanship, a lamp from Flos always brings more than just light into your home. There are no limits to the shapes and symbolism. Whether large pendant lights or small bedside lamps - the design company from Italy enriches the home and architecture sector worldwide with its style. Designer Konstatin Grcic, for example, brought Flos worldwide fame 20 years ago with his award-winning portable design multipurpose luminaire Mayday and is building on this success with new, innovative designs such as Black Flag.

Eco mode with lux sensor: adjusts the light intensity to the environment to reduce power consumption and extend the life of the lamp
Customised lenses: the direct lighting consists of 36 individual light units consisting of a single circuit board equipped with dual-chip technology to mix the CCT from 27K to 50K. Each of them has a dedicated red-symmetrical lens with 20º cut-off and a louvre that is glossy on the inside to limit glare and frosted on the outside to perfectly match the surface of the lamp.

Light control

Touching the sensor (A) causes the following sequence:

Switching on at 100% light intensity
Reduction to 50% of the light intensity
Switching off

Touching the sensor for a longer time causes to switch on at 100%, a progressive decrease in light intensity down to 5%, release and resume contact, increase up to 100%. When the desired intensity is reached, break contact with the sensor.

By touching the sensor (B), the illumination of the rods can be set in the following modes:

Only upper light beams activated
only lower light beam activated
both light beams activated

By touching the sensor (C), you can choose between four different colour temperatures of the light: 2700K (warm light) - 3000K - 4000K - 5000K (cold light); longer sensor contact causes a progressive increase and mixing of the colour temperature from 2700K to 5000K.

By touching the upper part of the sensor (D), the device can be operated in ECO mode (sensor colour GREEN). With this function , the light intensity is automatically adjusted by the device to the amount of light on the illuminated surface: The brighter the ambient light, the less light the device emits and vice versa.

ECO mode is deactivated by touching the sensor (D) or another setting button again. ECO mode can only be activated for the direct light beam.
