Design by Aleksej Iskos
Ukrainian-born Aleksej Iskos has lived in Copenhagen since 1991. He became known for his work with Komplot Design and as co-founder of Iskos-Berlin Design. in 2018 he finally founded his own studio. His work is characterised by the creation of objects where function instinctively meets poetry.
"In Scandinavian design, the great respect for nature is evident in terms of materials and light; this is something I wanted to give to the Calm wall lamp as well, creating a light that is not tamed, but organically flowing. This creates a beautiful progression between light and shadow, which is enhanced by the tactile textile surface ."
