To the table please: Modular Type 551 Table Lamp Neon orange Midgard
The Modular luminaire is considered to be a further development of the well-known models Type 113 and Type 114. Under the direction of Curt Fischer, the design was further elaborated into a modular lighting system in the 1920s, so that it meets all the lighting needs of both private individuals and in public life.
The Modular luminaires include table, wall, ceiling and floor luminaires. They are still produced today in the spirit of the inventor with selectable arm lengths, number of arms, shade shapes and colours.
Midgard - 100 years of directable light
Midgard Licht GmbH was founded in 1919 as a spin-off of the Auma Ronneberger und Fischer industrial plant and is the owner of the oldest patent for steerable light.
Its founder Curt Fischer is considered the inventor of steerable light. His luminaires were used in the metal workshops of the Dessau Bauhaus, among others. The products are manufactured and assembled in Hamburg Altona, making Midgard luminaires genuine Made-in-Germany goods. They are ENEC and VDE certified.
