Simple elegance: 2097/30 pendant lamp black by Flos
Modeled after a classic chandelier, the 2097 pendant light from Flos is a modern take on the popular classic. It provides diffused light and creates an industrial charm with its iron and brass arms.
Designer Gino Sarfatti
Gino Sarfatti was born in Venice in 1912. In 1930, he moved to Genoa to enroll in the Faculty of Aeronautical and Maritime Engineering. At the age of 23, Sarfatti was forced to interrupt his studies. He moved to Milan and founded Arteluce in February 1939. Then in 1954 the models 1063 and 1065 were awarded at the X. Triennale with the "Grand Prix", and the model 559 won the Compasso d'Oro of the ADI (Association for Industrial Design). At the end of 1973, Sarfatti decided to sell Arteluce to Flos; he retired to spend his life at his home in Griante on Lake Como. He passed away on March 6, 1985.
