Thonet chair S 33 (without armrests) and S 34 (with armrests) by Mart Stam.
These are the first cantilever chairs in the history of furniture. They were first used in Stuttgart's Weißenhof neighbourhood in 1927.
At that time Stam laid the emphasis on the clear form, not on the cantilever effect.
The armrests are solid beech.
Frame tube chrome. The leather upholstery can be tightened with a bracket (beneath the seat).
