Icons: Plywood Group LCW from Vitra
The small LCW armchair is one of the iconic designs by Charles and Ray Eames and originates from a time of their early experiments with three-dimensional plywood deformation.
In years of experimentation, the two have researched a method to best adapt laminated wood to the shapes of the human body. The chairs of the Plywood Group are the result and they still look contemporary today and have become true classics.
Thanks to their pleasantly shaped plywood shells and the flexible backrest, they can be used with very good seating comfort.
By the way: LCW stands for Lounge Chair Wood.
