New interpretation: Birdie LED grande table lamp by Foscarini
Imagine a classic table lamp: a long rod, a classically shaped shade, a bulb - yes, you're getting very close, but the Birdie LED table lamp from Foscarini is a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic model. It emits a direct light downwards and a diffuse light in the room due to the nature of its shade.
With the touch dimmer function over the branched branch on the body you can vary the light intensity at will. This small branch also gave the lamp its name: Birdie, because a little bird could land on it.
Design pair Ludovica and Roberto Palomba
In 1994 Ludovica and Roberto Palomba founded their own design studio in Milan and are now known for their furniture and product designs. They also act as art directors for major international brands. The couple create objects that enter into a direct dialogue with the owner and thus establish a lasting relationship. In addition to the contemporary reinterpretation of a shade lamp (Birdie) and innovative models such as Gregg and the Ritual lamps, the two have already realized numerous designs together with Foscarini.
Foscarini - Italian lighting design
Foscarini was founded in 1981 on the Venetian island of Murano. The Italian manufacturer designs, develops and manufactures lighting fixtures that inspire both in their switched-on and switched-off form. Maximum creative freedom is guaranteed by the manufacturer's independence from production requirements. Foscarini has been working closely with various international designers for more than 35 years.
