Big Bang XL Pendant light LED Foscarini

Orderly Chaos

The Big Bang XL pendant is an orderly chaos. At first glance, the arrangement of the individual acrylic glass panels appears almost indiscriminate, on the second glance one notices that this lamp is not left to chance, but is all thought out. Because only the exactness makes the beautiful light and shadow effects possible at all.

Designer

The creators of the extravagant Foscarini pendant light are Enrico Franzolini and Vicente Garcia Jimenez. Franzolini was born in Udine in 1952 and has a degree in architecture. Jimenez is a bit younger: The studied product designer was born 1978 in Valencia, Spain. The Big Bang lights designed by the two designers are, by the way, true globetrotters: these can be found, for example, in the luxury five-star BCN Design hotel in Barcelona.

Material and size

As spectacular as the Big Bang pendant lamp is, it is reduced in terms of the materials used: methacrylate (acrylic glass) and aluminum, the lamp does not need more. The luminaire body is made of white, powder-coated aluminum, the interleaved panels of acrylic glass. Big Bang measures imposing 192 x 132 cm.
